Schedule and Dates

Arrive in Los Angeles, CA by Monday July 2

July 3-5: Sightseeing in CA. Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood, Santa Monica and Venice Beach, shopping.

July 6: Fly to Burlington, VT and arrive at homestays in Middlebury, VT

July 7-8 : Activities with homestay family

July 9 - 25: Intensive English Program

July 26 - 27 - End of session camping trip

July 28 or 29 Return home.

Daily Schedule

English Summer Camp

Mornings: Language Study. Work on conversational English skills in every day settings. Some reading and writing in English. Discussion on American culture, including food, sports, lifestyles, schooling.

Afternoons: Outdoor activities including kayaking, tubing, hiking, fishing, swimming, nature exploration. Shopping, cooking, sports games and competitions.

Logistics

Homestays

Students will stay the length of their time in Vermont with homestay families carefully screened and selected. Families will provide morning and evening meals, drop off and pick up to camp, and one weekend of oversight. Guidelines and expectations will be provided to both students and their host families.
